Negotiation for Scientists
Mindset and tools for lasting partnerships
Who this Course is for
This workshop develops your negotiation skills for both professional and personal success. You will learn to recognise different interaction styles, build interest-based relationships, and master the complete negotiation process. Through practical exercises in a risk-free environment, you gain expertise in preparation techniques, goal-setting, communication strategies, and learn how to create clear proposals that explain what you are offering and what you want in return. The program emphasises hands-on practice to improve efficiency, time management, and collaborative partnership building.

Style of this Course
The workshop consists of two parts over three days delivered online:
- Days 1 & 2: 9:00 – 17:00 (CET/CEST)
- One month break to allow time to practice and identify challenges
- Day 3: 9:00 – 17:00 (CET/CEST)
The format of the workshop is highly interactive and practical, conducted as a live online training via Zoom. It involves case studies, role play, group work in breakout rooms, and discussion sessions. Participants will actively engage in the course by discussing their own life experiences and being self-reflective in a stimulating and guided process. They will acquire tools that can be readily used in daily life.
