How to Publish Reproducible Results
Who this Course is for
This course is designed for a maximum of 20 researchers at all career stages who want to explore the principles and challenges of research integrity and reproducibility. It addresses key aspects of the research process, from experimental design to data analysis and sharing. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the “dos” and “don’ts” of conducting and disseminating scientific research. The course emphasizes that research integrity is not only crucial for maintaining the scientific record but also vital for enhancing the quality of your own work and advancing your career.

Style of this Course
The workshop takes place over two consecutive mornings:
Daily: 09:00 to 13:00 (CET/CEST) including breaks
The workshop is offered as a highly engaging and practical live training via Zoom, with interactive elements such as case studies, dynamic group work in breakout rooms, and lively discussion sessions to maximise learning and participation.

What you will learn
This session introduces the core principles of Research Integrity. It will emphasise the importance of hypothesis-driven research, highlighting the need for well-conceived research questions and unbiased experimental design. Participants will also learn best practices for record-keeping, data processing, and storage to ensure data integrity and transparency. The session will conclude with an examination of issues related to scientific rigor and data reproducibility, focusing on how to identify and address potential concerns.

This day focuses on critical aspects of research integrity, including best practices for dealing with data aberrations, understanding conflicts of interest and plagiarism, and applying the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity to ensure ethical and rigorous research conduct. We will explore real-world case studies to understand how journals address image issues and develop critical thinking skills for evaluating research integrity.
